Honoured to receive an Honourable Mention for my essay in the 2021 Doula Support Foundation, Birth Story Writing Contest. I wrote this piece over a decade ago trying to make sense of my two unplanned, unwanted, yet life saving Caesarean sections. It lived in my drawer until now. Grateful it finally found a home, and hope it helps bring solace to others.
